About the picture :
Certainly the most prestigious and the more demanded photography of our selection. The “Galliano Royale” was shot with John Galliano to celebrate his 10 years of work at the Christian Dior Haute Couture house. For the shoot Christian Dior opened its archive to select to most exceptional dresses designed by Galliano. The photo is based on a series of paintings from the 15th Century that have influenced Simon Procter for most of his fine art studies: “The battle of Romano” by Paolo Uccello. The 118”x47” “Galliano Royale” and its limited edition of 10 plus 2 artist proofs is sold out but the demand is so high in our galleries that the artist is working on a new project mixing painting and photography to gave another life to this exceptional piece of art.
